What to inspect first
Start with the simplest checks: verify the laser source cooling loop is operating, confirm stable input power, and inspect fiber connections for visible damage or debris. Many faults that appear as source failure are actually caused by coolant flow interruptions or electrical supply issues.
- Check water or coolant flow and temperature sensors.
- Confirm the source is receiving the correct input voltage and phase.
- Inspect fiber connectors, QBH/QD interfaces, and protective windows for contamination.
- Review source error codes and alarm history from the control panel.
